The Handyman
Hi! I’m Ren Horvath, your local Nanaimo Handyman. I would love to help you with your home project. I am a red seal certified sheet metal worker with experience in the construction industry for 12+ years. I have completed 3 top to bottom house renovations of my own and have helped many customers, family and friends with their home projects. I have always been handy, even from a very young age, and enjoy physical work, problem solving and the satisfaction of repairing and updating things.
If you have a list of home improvements or repairs (or a honey-do list!), I can help! If you need maintenance done around your home such as power washing or fence repair, I can help. If you need to get your home ready to sell or make a new home more comfortable, I can help! If you have a small renovation project in mind like updating a bathroom or putting in new flooring, I can help! My rate is $75 per hour with a 2 hour minimum. If you would like a larger project such a renovation or multiple small projects I can offer a project quote. Please get in touch to discuss.

Yes, I can visit your home to view and discuss your project and provide a quote. The cost is $85.00 to do a site visit and provide you with a written quote for your project. This fee is deducted from the total cost of your job when you hire me and covers my time and fuel costs. I am happy to give quotes over the phone for free. I may ask for photos to be provided.

Yes, I have a business license to work in Nanaimo and surrounding areas and carry $2 million liability insurance for any damage or injury my work could cause.
